At Float Space | Palm Springs Spa, we are dedicated to providing you with an exceptional and safe experience. Please carefully review and agree to the following policies and information before your treatment/s.
⚠️ Please be cautious — Floors may be wet and slippery.
Facilities
We provide the following amenities: towels, earplugs, petroleum jelly, shampoo, body wash, shower facilities, slippers, robes, and hair-drying amenities.
- All provided items must remain on the premises. Any items removed will incur a replacement charge, and a payment link will be sent to the email associated with your booking.
- Please leave all towels, slippers, and robes, ear plugs, etc in the room, or hand them into reception before leaving.
Floatation Therapy
- Session lengths are 60 or 90 minutes.
- If you feel claustrophobic or uncomfortable, you can open the lid of the pod at any time.
- A red “call attendant” button is located on the left-hand side inside the pod if you need assistance.
Client Agreement
You must not use the floatation pod if any of the following apply:
- Incontinence or risk of involuntary release of bodily fluids.
- Not showered thoroughly (including removal of makeup, oils, or creams).
- Bright dyed hair colour (e.g. red) that still leaks when washing.
- Under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Contagious or infectious skin condition.
- Open wounds or sores.
- Uncontrolled diabetes.
- Heart problems, epilepsy, seizures, or history of blackouts (without medical clearance).
- Menstruating heavily without appropriate protection.
- Skin condition that may react to magnesium salts.
- Kidney disease.
- If I am unsure whether it is safe for me to have a floatation therapy session, I will contact the spa by email or phone before booking an appointment
Restrictions
- You must be 18+, or 16+ with parental/guardian consent.
13+ can be accommodated with prior approval – call or email to enquire - Certain medical conditions (e.g. epilepsy, heart issues) may prevent use — please consult your physician if unsure.
- You must be able to enter and exit the pod unassisted, or arrange for personal assistance.
Contamination & Liability
- If you contaminate the float pod (e.g. hair dye, bodily fluids), you will be responsible for the ÂŁ600 clean-up and salt replacement charge.
- Use of floatation therapy is entirely at your own risk — Float Space | Palm Springs Spa, accepts no liability for injury or accidents, including slips or falls.
Infrared Sauna
- Sessions are 45 minutes for safety reasons.
- For your safety:
- Do not apply oils, lotions, or creams before entering, as they can cause burns or equipment damage.
- Do not enter the sauna wet — this is not a hot/cold therapy room.
- A jug of water will be provided to keep you hydrated.
- If at any point you feel unwell, overheated, or uncomfortable, exit the sauna immediately.
- After using the Infrared Sauna, do not use a sunbed or any other UV/heat treatment for 24 hours.
- Do not apply oils, lotions, or creams before entering, as they can cause burns or equipment damage.
Client Agreement
I confirm that:
- I am not pregnant or breastfeeding.
- I have not recently had high blood pressure, a heart attack, or other cardiovascular problem.
- I have no history of dizziness, fainting spells, heat sensitivity, narcolepsy, or seizures.
- To the best of my knowledge, I am safe to use the Infrared Sauna facilities.
- I understand that the Infrared Sauna is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or ailment.
- If I am unsure whether it is safe for me to use the Infrared Sauna, I will contact the spa by email or phone before booking an appointment.
Massage
- Your therapist will complete a consultation form before the start of your treatment.
- You must not withhold any medical information and must answer all questions truthfully.
- You must wear underwear during treatment — if not, the treatment may be declined – with no refund.
- You must not attend with any infectious condition.
Absolute contraindications — massage cannot be performed if you have any of the following:
- Contagious or infectious diseases (e.g. flu, covid-19, chickenpox, impetigo, ringworm, scabies).
- Fever or acute illness.
- Recent surgery or acute injury.
- Thrombosis, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), or embolism.
- Severe cardiovascular conditions (e.g. uncontrolled hypertension, recent heart attack, severe atherosclerosis).
- Cancer without medical clearance.
- Pregnancy in the first trimester.
Client agreement:
- If I am unsure whether it is safe for me to use the Infrared Sauna, I will contact the spa by email or phone before booking an appointment
- If your appointment is declined on the day, no refund will be issued.
General Policies
Safety Procedures
For your safety, if there is no response to staff via knocking, opening the door, or calling during your session, we reserve the right to enter the treatment room to ensure your wellbeing.
Fees & Payment
- Float sessions: 60 or 90 minutes (longer sessions available by request).
- Infrared sauna sessions: 45 minutes for safety.
- Payment is due at the time of booking.
- If you are wanting to pay cash please call reception, a deposit may be required of 50% of the total booking.
- Fees are subject to change (minimum one month’s notice where possible).
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
We understand that life happens and plans may change. To ensure fairness to all clients, please note the following:
Rescheduling
- We require at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule your appointment.
- Rescheduling can be done:
- Online via your Float Space account, or
- By calling us directly.
- Online via your Float Space account, or
Cancellations
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee, regardless of the reason.
- For packages and passes, a missed or short-notice cancellation will result in a session being deducted from your balance.
Exceptions
- In the case of genuine emergencies or unforeseen events, please contact us directly.
- Rescheduling under these circumstances may be considered at the manager’s discretion.
Cleanliness & Hygiene
- All treatment areas are disinfected between sessions.
- Our Float pod water is purified with:
- UV light purification
- Hydrogen peroxide sterilization
- 1-micron filtration
- Fully cycled 4 times between every float.
- UV light purification
CCTV Monitoring
- Used only in public areas (reception, corridors, internal and external entrances, moon room).
- No cameras in treatment rooms or private areas such as toilets.
- Footage retained for a max of 30 days – unless we need to retain for any reason

By booking a session, I confirm that I have read, understood, and I agree to all terms and policies listed above, including the cancellation and rescheduling policy.
