You’ll find a red “call attendant” button on the left-hand side inside the pod if you need assistance.

Client Agreement

You must not use the floatation pod if any of the following apply:

  • Incontinence or risk of involuntary release of bodily fluids
  • Failure to shower thoroughly (including removal of makeup, oils, or creams)
  • Bright dyed hair colour (e.g. red) that still leaks when washing
  • Under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Contagious or infectious skin condition
  • Open wounds or sores
  • Uncontrolled diabetes
  • Heart problems, epilepsy, seizures, or a history of blackouts (without medical clearance)
  • Menstruating heavily without appropriate protection
  • Skin conditions that may react to magnesium salts
  • Kidney disease

If you’re unsure whether it’s safe to use Floatation Therapy, please contact us before booking.

Restrictions

Minimum age 18+, or 16+ with parental/guardian consent.
Ages 5+ can be accommodated with prior approval — call or email to enquire.
Certain medical conditions (e.g. epilepsy, heart issues) may prevent use — consult your physician if unsure.
You need to be able to enter and exit the pod without assistance or arrange for personal help.

Pre-Session Preparation Requirements

Guests must follow the below preparation guidelines before attending their float session:

• Do not shave or wax within 24 hours prior to your session (the magnesium solution may cause skin irritation).
• Avoid excessive caffeine before your session, as it may reduce your ability to relax.
• Avoid heavy meals immediately before floating.
• Remove contact lenses before entering the pod.
• Remove all jewellery, watches, piercings, and metal accessories before entering the float pod.

For the protection of both your belongings and our float solution, jewellery must be removed prior to entering the pod. Float water contains a highly concentrated magnesium sulphate solution which may tarnish or damage metals. Palm Springs Spa accepts no responsibility for damage to jewellery worn during a session. This includes tarnishing, discolouration, corrosion, or structural damage.

Failure to follow preparation guidelines may result in the session being declined, ended early, or treated as a late cancellation without refund.

No refunds will be issued in such circumstances.

Guests who enter the float pod wearing jewellery or metal accessories do so entirely at their own risk. Any resulting contamination or damage to the float pod water will be handled in accordance with the Contamination & Liability terms below.

Contamination & Liability

If you contaminate the float pod (for example, with hair dye or bodily fluids), you may be responsible for a £600 clean-up and salt replacement charge, at management discretion.

By proceeding with your session, you confirm that all information provided is true and accurate. — Float Space | Palm Springs Spa accepts no liability for injury or accidents, including slips or falls.

  • If you feel unwell, overheated, or uncomfortable, exit the sauna immediately.
  • Inform a member of staff if assistance is required.
  • After using the Infrared Sauna, do not use a sunbed or any other UV/heat treatment for 24 hours.
